On Sundays, I send out these short blogs about sustaining your meditation practice using the resources from our studio.
It’s not the best day from a marketing point of view… Sunday “open rates” are not great. But I do it for reasons that are more important to me as a teacher.

My meditation students regularly face something that I’ve heard them call either “Sunday Sadness” or “Sunday Anxiety.”
Mindful Boston exists to be of service to anyone facing life stressors.
Sunday is a trigger point in the weekly cycle for anticipatory stress. And October can be a trigger point in the seasons for emotional lows.
Please know that you are not alone. This Sunday News email is here to remind you that a regular practice does help! There’s a reason why Harvard University recently opened a new department for mindfulness within their school of public health. Mindfulness can become a public health intervention, and studies are showing that it can be as effective as medication.
If you are not yet getting enough support as a meditator, let me know what you’re looking for. Also, I am building a new draft of a “Guest Pass” calendar of meditations at MindfulBoston.xyz/calendar
I hope you will check it out.
I’m looking forward to practicing with you,
-Gena Bean
