New Year FOMO

More effective mindfulness, part 2
New Year FOMO

Hello MBZ1 listeners,

Happy new year!

As stated in Thursday’s January 1st email, you can schedule a phone call with me at the booking page, regardless of your membership status. There are options for either a 30min coaching call or a 20min chat about the studio if you have questions before becoming a member.

>Searching

It seems that the new year search terms include “more effective mindfulness.”

Since I’ve been updating the MBZ1 website with icons, I thought I’d bring these visuals into our conversation.

>Icons

Here’s some icons that I found on FlatIcon.com when I started with the search term “effective”

Icon for “efficient” and, interestingly, also “empathy” hmmmm.
Icon result for both “efficient” plus “profit”
This was called “efficiency” It includes a clock and a gear along with a growth chart.
This was called “multitasking.” I personally see a reference to Hindu gods with multiple arms.
This was called “performance,” but I instinctively thought it was “burnout” when I first saw it. That the head is severed from the neck is next-level.
An icon for “increase.” There’s something about the check boxes that gave me an “effective” vibe. I felt a connection between the concepts of “effective” and “checking all the boxes.”
In the search results, there were also a number of idea lightbulbs mixed with gears. This was is called “implementation.”

Our first members’ Mindfulness Lab meeting of the year will be on January 11th. Let’s unpack the above icons/ideas further. We can start with these two inquiries:

Part 1: Define “effective…” Effective for what?

Part 2: What effect are you looking for?

Part 3: Did any of these icons spark ideas?

I’m looking forward to seeing how the New Year’s conversation unfolds!
