stopped
Hello folks,
Here’s a little story from my day.
On Friday, I was between doing an email and the next thing when I realized that I wasn’t capable of doing one more thing. My brain was on the fritz. One of the terms for it is short-circuit.
So I stopped.
These “Sunday Pause” newsletters are designed to shine a spotlight on the small choices, bringing attention to the moments that are easy to overlook.
It is easy to overlook a signal from your body-mind-spirit that too much is happening. Those kinds of internal signals contradict a lot of the external cultural signals we’re getting these days to do and then do more.
So, it is not insignificant that I didn’t listen to the cultural signals. I listened to an internal signal instead. And I acted on it.
Just a small story. Just a spotlight on one choice. Please feel free to share your small (or big) stories in the comments. And/or, the next Interpersonal Mindfulness Labs online call is on Sunday February 22nd. We’ll be talking together about small, yet not insignificant, choices for integrating mindfulness into your strategy for sanity.
Hope to see you there,
-Gena
