My neighbor鈥檚 front garden is formal. And it鈥檚 nice. It鈥檚 nice to have fancy flowers in front.
And then, there are also more informal moments that are healing. There are violets growing around the storm drain in the back of the building.
It's a visual representation, a metaphor, for one of the things we do as mindfulness practitioners. Paying attention to what's going on around the storm drains too, not only the dramatic formal garden in the front.
June can be a month where folks are focusing on summer preparations.
