Retro Kittens

Hi MBZ1 folks,

For my own practice topics this week, I’ve been working with lovingkindness (called metta in Sanskrit) and compassion (called karuna in Sanskrit).

Ask me about the spiritual figure Jizo and the concept of the Bodhisattva Vow the next time you see me. I’ll talk your ear off!

But, I don’t want to dive into anything too heavy for this August. We’ll hold on to the Jizo discussion for the fall.

Some of you will remember this video. It’s a blast from Mindful Boston’s past. We had a media intern put it together for our Youtube channel back in 2014. (!) The audio is a guided meditation. I lead a 23 minute variation on the lovingkindness/metta format. It is paired with images of kittens.
