Winter Series- We are off the charts!
Last week’s Sunday News email included an exclamation, “When talking about contemplative practices, we are off the charts!”
And that leads (me, at least) to the next question, “What relationship does meditation have to other contemplative practices?”
Luckily, about 20 years ago, some folks at the Center For Contemplative Mind in Society put together an image that we can use to describe the relationships.

Start at the roots, and follow the trunk of the tree up to see all the branches of contemplative practices. This tree graphic helped me to understand how different practices relate to each other. I hope you get something out of it too.
