Sacred spot. Pt2

a toe hold for being present
Sacred spot. Pt2

Hello MBZ1 folks,

Last week’s sacred spot was a tranquil brook.

This week is a little more wild…, but still sacred. It’s a 22sec video of the wind pushing swing chairs at Kripalu Yoga Center when I visited during October.

As I recommended last week, even if you don’t attend the offerings at MBZ1, it’s recommended that you sit down with your own calendar and intentionally carve out a time to simply sit at any spot that feels sacred to you. The suggestion here is to put your phone away and let yourself be present, in that place, intentionally without adding more distractions than necessary. Let yourself be distracted away from the phone by the wind, by the light, by the sound, of this very moment. Whoa!

This is not just “something nice” to do.
This is essential.

Last week, I recommended that you pull out your calendar immediately and make a scheduled time and place happen. Did you do it?

Here’s another perspective of the swings. There was something happening on that windy day of dark clouds and yellow hills that reflected where my own practice has been going this fall.

If you have your own photo or short video of a sacred moment that you would like to share with the studio group, please email it to me. I will share studio members’ videos during our December Sunday emails.

If you have been having a hard time carving out your own time for a sacred moment, come to the MBZ1 Black Friday Retreat.

Nov 28th, 10am to 12pm, Arlington MA, next Friday, inside a literal sanctuary.
